Useful Tools
Many friends asked about how did Fanny get started with baking and what kind of tools that she use. We deliberately choose to operate her bakery from our home kitchen for now (according to Texas cottage food law) and not from a commercial location to fit in our lifestyle and family schedule. She only use household tools for all her creations.
Since Fanny is pretty busy with the kids and other activities, it is not surprising that she got most of the kitchen tools from Amazon (of course with Prime Membership). Here are some of the things that she use daily. You can click the images below to check details of the product.
KitchenAid Stand Mixer
No baker can live without mixer. The KitchenAid KSM150PSER 5-Quart stand mixer is the first KitchenAid she owned years ago. She still loves it a lot and bought the same model last year as a replacement.
If you are not as emotionally attached to the specific model, the newer models are great too.
The beauty of the KitchenAid is that there are many add-on for the different functions. For example, she sometimes use this grinder to make meat balls and sausage at home.
KitchenAid Hand Mixer
This is the first mixer that Fanny owned before we bought the stand mixer. It is still handy to do some light weight mixing from time to time.
Vitamix Variable Speed Blender
When it comes to blender, Fanny’s favorite is the Vitamix. The model she uses is the Creations ii. But any model will work great.
KitchenAid Food Processor
Fanny uses a KitchenAid 7-cup household food processor Robot Culinaire. It is a great tool to turn the raw material into a small form factor.
Zojirushi Rice Cooker
Fanny has two Zojirushi rice cooker (one for daily use and one for party). The smart rice cooker is quite useful for asian family that can not live without rice.
Knife Set
For the kitchen knives, Fanny uses the Zwilling Kitchen Knife set. It is really sharp!
Thanks for reaching this far on the list. She also has many small tools that are very useful for the cooking. If you are interested in other tools not mentioned, please leave a comment below.
